Staff that really cares about the kids!

Stewart is a wonderful little school, that, like all schools has it's share of problems (i.e. bullies) but for the most part all the teachers do, truely care about the children. The principal goes out of her way to see that any conflicts are resolved peacefully. It is a shame that the level of parent involvement is so low and many times the only time a parent comes to the school is to complain. It would be nice if these parents took the time to volunteer for the few special events the school holds and come to the PTO meetings as well. Yes, they need to hire more teachers so that the ratio of children to teachers is lower, but I understand the district has to watch it's money. Instead of complaining, let's work with the board, the superintendant, the principal and staff to make Stewart the best.

School has made great improvements. Leadership starting with Principal and flowing from there. Everyone appears to be motivated, enthusiastic, and the kids really do come first at this small school. They do not have the funding of the larger schools, but the extra effort the staff makes more than makes up for any lack of funding. I would hesitate to send my child to another school, this is a great campus.

I do not have anything good to say about this school. My 10 year old son is constantly being picked on by bullies and the teachers do nothing about it until it turns into a fight and my son then gets in trouble too. They give the kids lots of homework but do not explain to them how to do it and the parents must explain it to them. My son might as well be home schooled. It's seem to me that the staff at this school is only there to collect a paycheck and care very little about anything else.

Stewart is a magnificent school and has wonderful teachers and of course the principal is the driving force behind its success. Very good work.

I have two children enrolled at the school, they have progessed well. The teachers really seem to care about their students well being and progress. The principal is easy to approach and handles any concerns promptly. At the elementy they have music, computer lab, gym, The kids don't go every day, but alternate through out the week. A new playground was put in this year, a butterfly garden was put in last year it was very nice and the students helped with the progress of it. Overall Stewart could use a few more teachers at all grade levels to bring the ratio down, I am please with my childrens progess in the school.
